What happens at the end of a contract?

Overview

Your Hashrate Contract ends automatically when it reaches its scheduled expiration date. You do not need to cancel it, and it will not automatically renew.

Mining activity associated with the contract stops, any remaining Net Mining Output is processed through the final payout process, and the contract moves to the Inactive section of your dashboard.

Will I receive an expiration reminder?

Yes. Ridgeline will send you a reminder approximately 30 days before your contract is scheduled to expire.

You can also view your expected contract end date at any time from your dashboard.

Does my contract automatically renew?

No. Ridgeline Hashrate Contracts do not automatically renew, so you will not be charged for another term without choosing to make a new purchase.

If you would like to continue contracting hashrate, you can purchase a new contract from your dashboard at any time, subject to current:

  • Hashrate availability

  • Contract options

  • Pricing

  • Fees and terms

Your new contract will be separate from the contract that expired.

When does mining stop?

Mining activity associated with your contract stops when the contract term expires.

After that point, no additional Gross Mining Output or Net Mining Output will be calculated for the expired contract.

What happens to my final balance?

Ridgeline will calculate any remaining Net Mining Output associated with the contract and process it through the normal payout flow.

A final payout may be processed even if the remaining amount is below your wallet’s normal payout threshold. The payout will be sent in Bitcoin to the designated wallet connected to your account.

Before payout, the amount shown in your dashboard represents Net Mining Output contractually payable to you – not Bitcoin already owned by or held in custody for you. The transferred Bitcoin becomes yours when Ridgeline sends it to your designated wallet.

If the remaining amount is zero or is not enough to cover the applicable fees, no final payout will be made.

What happens to my contract history?

Your expired contract moves to the Inactive section of your dashboard, where you can continue to view its history.

This allows you to reference information such as:

  • Contracted hashrate

  • Contract term and dates

  • Mining activity

  • Gross Mining Output

  • Applicable costs and fees

  • Net Mining Output

  • Completed payouts

Your contract history remains available even though the contract is no longer actively mining.

Can I purchase another contract?

Yes. You can purchase another Hashrate Contract from your dashboard at any time.

The new contract will be based on Ridgeline’s current hashrate availability, pricing, contract lengths, and terms. Purchasing a new contract does not extend or reactivate the expired contract.
